Staff working at GE Aviation in Bishops Cleeve demonstrated their generosity recently by supporting a Christmas Raffle in aid of Sue Ryder Care - Leckhampton Court Hospice. All the hard work of the Events Committee, led by Rachel Lee, in getting donated prizes and organising the Christmas Party led to the fantastic total of £4000.00 being donated to the Hospice.
On accepting the cheque from Rachel and her colleague Paul Culham recently Pam Sewell, Fundraiser, said “We are very grateful to Rachel, her colleagues and to everyone who took part in the raffle for this fantastic donation. It is a very welcome contribution to the £1 million that Leckhampton Court Hospice needs to raise each year so that it can continue to provide specialist palliative care to the people of Gloucestershire. We rely on such wonderful support from the community so that we can continue to be here to care for local people and their families.”
It is hoped that the relationship between the two organisations will continue in various ways during the coming months – so watch this space!
