CSCI recently introduced a new quality rating ranging from 0 – 3 stars. A three star rating means ‘excellent’, two stars ‘good’, one star ‘adequate’ and zero stars ‘poor’. The new star rating system has been designed to allow the public to easily see what levels of care are currently being provided in their communities.
Sue Ryder Care - Stagenhoe has been awarded three stars - the highest rating possible.
Care Centre Manager, Fran Short, at Sue Ryder Care – Stagenhoe said: “The whole team are thrilled to have achieved an ‘excellent’ rating from CSCI. We have a highly skilled and motivated team at Sue Ryder Care and are really proud to have done so well. I’d like to thank and congratulate all of my team for working so hard.”
CSCI hold the only official directory of registered care services in England and say the new ratings give the clearest information yet about the quality of care as judged by their inspectors. The inspection is a detailed process and involves interviews with staff and the people using the care service, surveys, a visit to the care centre and information provided by the care service.
