24 runners pulled on their running shoes and Sue Ryder Care running vests to cross the finish line at the Reading Half Marathon March 2nd 2008.
Collectively these fantastic supporters have so far raised an incredible £6,748.06 for Sue Ryder Care. It really was a fantastic achievement to take part in this race which is a sell out event every year. So a big THANK YOU and WELL DONE to all those that took part!
Running for Sue Ryder Care is a great way to get fit and feel fantastic and all the money raised from sponsorship will help us continue making a huge difference to people with life-limiting conditions and their families throughout the UK.
Here is a snapshot of how all sponsorship raised gets used:
£15 will keep someone with Multiple Sclerosis free from pain for a month.
£20 will cover the cost of a nurse’s tunic.
£100 will cover the cost of a nurse’s shift per day.
£320 will cover the average cost of a bed per day.
£760 will cover the daily cost of providing consultants and medical staff.
£6,300 will cover the cost of running the hospice for the day.
